Pixelation averages each block of pixels into one colour, which reads clearly as a deliberate redaction. For faces and licence plates use a block size of at least 20 pixels on a phone-sized photo; for small text in screenshots, 10 to 14 is enough. The preview shows the exact result before you download.

Questions people ask
Pixelate or blur?
Pixelate looks intentional and is common for documents. Blur looks softer in photos. Both are irreversible in the exported file when the strength is high enough.
Can a pixelated image be de-pixelated?
Not reliably when the block size is large relative to the feature. Very small blocks on large text can sometimes be guessed, so use a big block size.
