  1. Drop the images. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, GIF and BMP are all read locally.
  2. Choose the output. JPG for photos and universal support, PNG for transparency and sharp graphics, WebP for small files, AVIF for the smallest.
  3. Convert and download. Rows fill in as each file finishes, and the preview shows the selected one. Download singly or as a zip.

Why use myownpic for this

Nothing is uploaded

Photos are read from your disk and processed by your browser. There is no server, so ID scans, family pictures and work files never travel anywhere.

Faster than any upload

A 10 MB photo compresses in about a second. No queue, no upload bar, no download round trip, and it keeps working offline.

Whole batches, one zip

Drop a folder, not a file. Every tool works on many images at once and hands you a zip.

No watermark, no account

Free with no sign-up, no daily quota, no resolution cap and no logo stamped on your pictures.

Questions people ask

Which format should I pick?

JPG for photos that need to open everywhere. PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with transparency. WebP when file size matters and the destination is a website or a modern app. AVIF for the smallest files where you know it is accepted.

What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Convert to PNG or WebP to keep them.

Can it convert HEIC from an iPhone?

Yes. A small decoder loads the first time a HEIC file appears and runs entirely in your browser. Whole camera rolls can be converted at once.

Do animated GIFs stay animated?

No. The output is a still image of the first frame. For animation, keep the GIF or use a video tool.

Does WebP work in Safari?

Yes. Safari cannot write WebP on its own, so the site brings its own encoder, the same libwebp Chrome uses, and runs it on your device. AVIF works the same way in every browser.
