Rotate or flip images on your device
Fix photos that came out sideways, or mirror a selfie so text reads correctly. Apply the same turn to a whole batch and download.
How to rotate & flip
- Drop the images. Phone photos with a rotation flag are shown the way your phone shows them.
- Choose the turn. 90° right, 180°, 90° left, plus a horizontal or vertical flip.
- Download. The rotation is baked into the pixels, so every app shows the photo the right way up.
Why use myownpic for this
Nothing is uploaded
Photos are read from your disk and processed by your browser. There is no server, so ID scans, family pictures and work files never travel anywhere.
Faster than any upload
A 10 MB photo compresses in about a second. No queue, no upload bar, no download round trip, and it keeps working offline.
Whole batches, one zip
Drop a folder, not a file. Every tool works on many images at once and hands you a zip.
No watermark, no account
Free with no sign-up, no daily quota, no resolution cap and no logo stamped on your pictures.
Questions people ask
Why does my photo look sideways in some apps?
Phones store a rotation flag instead of rotating the pixels, and some apps ignore it. This tool writes the pixels in the correct orientation so the flag is no longer needed.
Is rotating lossless?
The pixels are turned exactly, but saving as JPG re-encodes once at high quality. Choose PNG if you need a byte-perfect result.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle?
Not yet. Straightening by a few degrees is on the list. Right angles and flips cover the common cases.
